Our Purpose The purpose of this church shall be: To lead people to faith in Jesus. To bring them into the fellowship of the church. To disciple them to maturity in the faith. To support them in their ministry and life mission. To glorify and worship God. What We Believe 1. The Bible: We believe that God is the ultimate Authority in the universe and He has given us His Word, the Bible. We believe it is the inerrant Word of God in the original manuscripts. The bible is the final rule for faith and practice for every Christian. 2. We hold that certain truths are essential for all believers: The triune nature of God, one God in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The virgin birth and bodily resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. The present-day working of the Holy Spirit. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus. Jesus ascended to Heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father and will return for His church. 3. Our Church: Because we accept the authority of Scripture, we have attempted to set up our church government and practices in line with the New Testiment pattern. We have pastoral and elder governance. We practice believer's baptism by immersion. While we hold that there are certain essential truths, there are other areas which might be interpreted in different ways. We believe in unity in the essentials and liberty in non-essentials. A more complete statement of faith can be found in our constitution. We welcome all who have placed their faith in Jesus to the communion table. We see all who have placed their faith in Jesus as brothers and sisters in Christ.
